In the studio, I reflect on my decisions within each piece, listening to them tell me who they are and what they need. My practice is an ongoing learning experience - gaining wisdom through mistakes and advancing my intuition. In this contemplative daze I hear a voice…..

Moon: You’re daydreaming.

Ryan: I am?

Moon: You’re night dreaming.

Ryan: What?

Moon: You’re wandering, one eye on where you’re heading and one eye on where you’ve been.

Ryan: Crosseyed? Moon: You’re looking up at me, in the aubergine sky, considering time and its slow, ever-present action; a thought even I, who have witnessed all history, cannot grasp. You’re looking up at me, a symbol of unquestioned reliability, although, like you, I am in constant transition. You’re looking up at me, and I am you.

Ryan: Wow!

Moon: WHY DO YOU DELIGHT IN THESE PURSUITS OF THE UNKNOWABLE?

Ryan: I’m…not sure…
