Robert Bingaman is an artist based in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2014, selections from Night Pools, were shown in a solo exhibition at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. More recently, he expanded upon the pool motif with large- scale paintings for Until It’s All You See, a solo exhibition at Studios Inc, a three-year residency program in Kansas City. His work is in collections including the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Capitol Federal Hall at the University of Kansas, Emprise Bank Collection of Art, and significant private collections across the United States.

“I don’t know. Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, I am haunted. Something’s ending. I’ve felt it since Christmas. More and more too. “This is ending”, each place seems to say. We’re seeing that a low hum of anxiety kept us from ever touching the ground. From witnessing the miracle of our hand reaching out and breaking the picture plane of consciousness. The miracle of a conversation with someone worthy of our attention. The miracle of a lifetime of conversations. And now all the conversations are too late—as though there would be something to do if only something could be done.“
