Shane Lutzk’s exhibition “Interrupted Flow” will feature a compilation of ceramics pieces. Shane’s focus has been large wheel thrown vessels inspired by historical and contemporary architecture.
Shane recently began creating unique sculptures that reflect his personal life experiences. He was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at age nine. Shane creates symbolic installations that correlate with the universal symbol for diabetes, a blue ring. He manipulates the rings either by hand, or through the firing process. The bright colors, manipulation and installation of these rings convey the interrupted flow of living with Type I Diabetes.
