Haw Contemporary is pleased to announce a posthumous exhibition of still life paintings by artist, educator, and friend Wilbur Niewald. 

An opening reception will be held Thursday, June 30 (5-8pm) at Haw Contemporary. Aptly, entitled Still Life, the show runs through July 30.

Remarks at 6 pm by Kansas City Art Institute President Tony Jones, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art CEO & Director Julián Zugazagoitia, and Haw Contemporary owner Bill Haw.

We will also be screening a short documentary film on the life and work of Niewald, directed by Steve Snell and Elizabeth Stehling, along with a special showing of paintings by Niewald spanning from the mid-50s to the present.
