Accessibility

Last updated October 19, 2026

Haw Contemporary wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we keep working to improve.

What we do

• Pages use headings and landmarks so that screen readers can move around them.
• Everything can be used with a keyboard, and the item you are on is shown with a visible outline.
• Images of artworks have text descriptions for screen readers.
• Text and background colors are checked for contrast, and links are never shown by color alone.
• The site adapts to different screen sizes, and text can be enlarged in your browser.
• The inquiry form has labeled fields, shows clear error messages, and can be closed with the Escape key or its close button.

Known limitations

• Artworks are visual. Our descriptions summarize what an image shows, but they cannot replace seeing the work. If you would like more detail about a work, ask us and we will gladly describe it.
• Some downloadable documents, such as price lists, press releases and CVs, may not be fully accessible. We can provide the information in another form on request.
• Some content comes from other services we do not control, such as our mailing list sign-up form and the installation views slide deck. We cannot guarantee their accessibility.
