Corey Antis’ studio practice investigates how images, objects and spaces can be proposals for the experience of perception and the uncanny. Corey Antis’ studio practice investigates how images, objects and spaces can be proposals for the experience of perception and the uncanny. His work has been exhibited in national and international exhibitions at the Rebekah Templeton Gallery, Greenlease Gallery at Rockhurst University, Booster and Seven Gallery, the Vox Populi Gallery, Three Walls, Heaven Gallery, Jenny Jaskey Gallery, the D.C. Arts Center, Greenstone Gallery, Hunter College, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Frieze Projects Art Fair, the Stray Show and SPACE Gallery, among others.
In addition, his work has been published in catalogs including Architectural Inventions: Visionary Drawing and New Visual Language, featured at Printed Matter. His work has been reviewed in several journals and periodicals including The Huffington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Title Magazine, among others. He currently lives and works in Kansas City.
Antis received a B.F.A. degree in painting and a B.A. degree in English from Cornell University, and an M.F.A. degree in painting from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University.
